Perspective Physical Therapy and Performance

Why am I not making consistent progress in Physical Therapy?

First, it needs to be stated that rehab is not a linear process.

Just like the stock market, there will be ups and downs a long the journey but where you started and where you finish is the most important!

If we focus on the day to day ups and downs of rehab and recovery, we may lose sight of where we want to end up and our goals which is tough.

We find there are a few key components to the rehab and recovery process:

  1. Great communication with our patients; reiterating their why and what we are doing is going to help them reach that point

  2. Holding each other accountable throughout the process

  3. Assessing each visit to make appropriate adjustments with manual therapy and exercise prescription (progressions, regressions, lateralizations)

We believe these 3 points can make or break a great plan of care and helping an individual return to what they love.
