Why don’t you accept insurance?
This is a common question we receive due to the fact we are a fee-for-service physical therapy practice and most physical therapy practices have contracts with insurance companies. This means the physical therapy practice gets reimbursed by the insurance company. As an insurance based practice, we collect payment up front and can provide what is called a super bill for patients which they can submit to their insurance company for reimburse (the patient receives the reimbursement which is usually a percentage of the visit) if they have out-of-network benefits. Essentially the process is flipped around in terms of collecting payment. Now, why do we do this?
We wanted to create a model to provide patients a different experience than your typical physical therapy practice.
