4 Stretches To Get You Ready For Your Next Walk
The warm weather is officially here in Upstate New York (except for the mornings; were still around 30 degrees) and I’m ready to get outside and walk a lot!
But it’s important to remember with increased walking volume your feet, ankles and calves may become sore and tight as you progress your walking over the next few weeks.
Now, you don’t have to do some elaborate warm up or stretching routine to go for a walk outside and feel good but it can be helpful to perform a few stretches to improve flexibility of certain muscle groups that tend to work a lot with walking.
Here are 4 different stretches/movements to perform before (and also after if you’d like) your next walk to keep your “foundation” moving and grooving so you can enjoy the beautiful sunshine and take in the fresh air! #MovementIsMedicine
If you’re having trouble with walking due to a pain/injury, don’t wait to see if it will go away. Get it straightened out NOW so you can enjoy Spring, Summer and beyond! Shoot me an email if you have any questions: griffin@perspectiveptny.com
