Do You Have A “Pinchy” Hip? If So, Keep Reading.

Are you a Runner, CrossFitter, yogi or avid walker and deal with a pinchy hip?

Do you have trouble squatting, lunging, walking or running due to front side hip pain?

Most of the time, this pain/pinching sensation will occur within the front of the hip. There be a couple reasons for this pain such as issues with:

-Hip control due to the muscle strength and coordination

-Hip joint mechanics

-Mobility above and below the hip

-Referred pain from the lumbar spine (lower back)

Dr. Google isn’t going to provide you the proper knowledge because the most important part is being evaluated and assessed. Once you are assessed then there is clarity and you can start to nail down a plan to returning to activities without a painful, pinchy hip.

Working with a Performance Physical Therapist is the step you need to take to fully resolve this but in the meantime below are a few exercises to get you on the right track. Book a call below to talk with a Performance Physical Therapist!
